1. Who these terms are with
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and any quote, booking or travel arrangement made with My Upcoming Trip (“we”, “us”, “our”). By requesting a quote or making a booking you confirm that you have read, understood and accept them, and that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.

Where you book on behalf of other travellers, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for every person named on the booking, and that you will pass on all information we give you.
2. Our role as agent
We are a travel agent. We source, compare and arrange flights and related travel services supplied by third parties — principally airlines, consolidators and tour operators (the “supplier”). Unless we tell you otherwise in writing, we act as an agent for that supplier and not as the principal.
This means the contract for carriage is between you and the supplier, and is governed by that supplier’s own conditions of carriage and fare rules. Those conditions may limit or exclude the supplier’s liability to you. We will provide the relevant conditions on request, and the key fare rules that affect changes, refunds and baggage are summarised in your quote before you pay.
3. Quotes, fares and availability
Fares shown on this website are current private fares. They illustrate a price we have seen for a route and cabin on the date stated on the page. They are not live availability, not an offer capable of acceptance, and not a guarantee that the same price will be available for your dates.
- Airline pricing changes continuously. A fare can change or sell out between your enquiry and your booking.
- A written quote from us is valid only for the period, dates, routing and cabin stated on it.
- Prices are quoted in pounds sterling and include taxes, fees and carrier charges known at the time of quoting, unless stated otherwise.
- Where a supplier imposes a charge after ticketing that we could not reasonably have known about, we will tell you promptly and you may choose to accept it or cancel, subject to the fare rules.
4. Making a booking
An enquiry through this website is a request for a quote. It does not create a booking and does not hold a seat or a price. A booking is made only when all of the following have happened:
- you have confirmed in writing that you accept a specific written quote;
- we have received cleared payment, or the deposit stated on that quote; and
- we have issued a booking confirmation or e-ticket to you.
Please check every detail on your confirmation immediately — names, dates, times, airports, routing and cabin. Tell us at once if anything is wrong. Corrections made after ticketing are treated as changes under section 7 and may not be possible.
5. Payment
Payment terms are set out on your quote. Most premium-cabin fares must be paid and ticketed in full at the time of booking; where a deposit is permitted, the balance due date will be stated in writing and is a condition of the booking.
- We will never ask you to send card details, passwords or full payment information by email or text message.
- If a payment fails or a balance is not paid by the due date, the supplier may cancel the booking and charges may apply.
- Where a card surcharge or payment fee applies, we will tell you the amount before you pay.
6. Names, passports, visas and health
The name on each ticket must exactly match the traveller’s passport. Airlines routinely refuse travel where it does not, and most premium fares do not permit a name change — a correction may require a new ticket at the fare available on the day.
It is your responsibility to hold a valid passport with sufficient remaining validity, and any visa, transit visa, electronic travel authorisation or health documentation required for your whole journey, including any country you merely transit. Requirements depend on your nationality and can change at short notice. We can point you to the relevant official sources, but we do not provide immigration advice and we are not liable if you are refused travel or entry.
Check the current UK government guidance for your destination at gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice.
7. Changes and cancellations
Changes you ask for
Whether a booking can be changed, and at what cost, is determined by the airline’s fare rules for the ticket you bought. Many discounted premium fares are restricted or non-refundable. Where a change is permitted, you will normally pay the airline’s change fee plus any difference in fare, and we may charge a reasonable administration fee, which we will tell you before we act.
Cancellations you make
Cancellation charges are set by the supplier and can be up to 100% of the fare. Taxes and charges that the airline does not retain may be refundable; we will tell you what is recoverable before you decide. Any refund is paid to the original payment method once the supplier has released the funds to us.
Right to cancel
Most travel and transport services are exempt from the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Booking a flight therefore does not normally carry a cooling-off period.
8. Delays, schedule changes and your rights
Airlines change schedules. Where a supplier changes or cancels your flight we will pass on the options offered to us as soon as we receive them, and help you choose between them. We are not the carrier and cannot control operational decisions.
Where your flight is delayed, cancelled or you are denied boarding, you may have rights against the airline directly — including re-routing, care and, in some cases, fixed compensation. For flights departing the UK, and for UK and EU carriers arriving in the UK, these rights are set out in retained Regulation (EC) 261/2004 (“UK261”). Claims of this kind are made against the operating airline. We will provide your booking documentation to support a claim on request.
9. Financial protection
ATOL Protected. Where a booking constitutes a flight-inclusive package or a Flight-Plus, it is protected under the ATOL scheme, and you will receive an ATOL Certificate confirming what is protected and who is responsible. If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate, the booking is not ATOL protected — please ask us.
Not every arrangement is a package. Flight-only tickets issued directly on an airline’s own document are generally outside the ATOL scheme. We will always tell you, in writing and before you pay, what protection applies to your specific booking.
UK travel agency.
10. Baggage and special requirements
Baggage allowances, cabin bag limits and excess charges are set by the operating airline and can differ between carriers on a single itinerary. The allowance applicable to your ticket is confirmed on your booking documentation.
Tell us at the time of enquiry about seating preferences, meals, medical needs, reduced mobility assistance, or travelling with an infant, and we will request them with the airline. Requests are passed on in good faith but cannot be guaranteed, because they are fulfilled at the airline’s discretion.
11. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance at the time of booking. Cover should be adequate for your itinerary and should include cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses, repatriation and baggage. If you are travelling with pre-existing medical conditions, declare them to your insurer. We do not sell insurance and we are not an insurance intermediary.
12. Complaints
If something goes wrong while you are travelling, please raise it with the airline or supplier at the time — many issues can only be resolved on the spot, and doing so preserves your position.
If you remain dissatisfied, write to us at info@myupcomingtrip.co.uk within 28 days of returning, quoting your booking reference. We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 working days and aim to give a substantive response within 28 days. Where a complaint concerns the airline’s own conduct we will help you escalate it to the carrier and, if relevant, to the Civil Aviation Authority.
13. Our liability
We accept responsibility for arranging your booking with reasonable skill and care. Because we act as agent, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of the supplier, nor for the performance of the flight itself, which is governed by the carrier’s conditions and by international conventions including the Montreal Convention 1999.
We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control, including air traffic control decisions, adverse weather, strikes, airport or airspace closures, civil unrest, epidemics and government action.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, are not affected.
14. Use of this website

15. Your personal data
We handle personal data in accordance with UK data protection law. How we collect, use, share and retain your information — and the rights you have over it — is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
16. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of them or your booking, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page on the date you make your booking.
